Prof. Dr. Sura Pattanakiat, Deputy Dean for Research Administration, Academic Services and Information Technology, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jongdee To-im, Faculty and Advisor for Student Affairs, Mahidol University, and Lect. Dr. Noppol Arunrat, Faculty, received the delegation of executives from An Giang University (AGU), Vietnam, consisting of Dr. Nguyen Huu Tri, a Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies Alumnus and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Administration , together with, Mr. Huynh Thanh Tien, Deputy Dean of Educational, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Center Director for Resource and Community Development, Mr. Duong Phu Dien, Deputy Head of General Economics, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Deputy Head of Crop Science, and Mr. Trinh Phuoc Nguyen, Center Deputy Director for Research and Rural Development, on the occasion of their visit to the faculty and participation in the discussion with regards to the development of collaborative academic projects under the Collaboration Agreement between Mahidol University, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and An Giang University such as student exchange projects in the form of summer school and academic field trip, training programs as well as the development of joint research work and program between the faculty and AGU. The meeting took place at Meeting Room 4 and was chiefly coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jongdee To-im, Faculty and Advisor for Student Affairs, Mahidol University.

25 Oct 18, 10.00 am., Prof. Dr. Achim Bräuning from Institute of Geography, Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg , Germany, gave a special talk on “Wood anatomy: A revitalization of a classic technique with new applications in climate and environmental research” at Debhanom Muangman Meeting Room, Building 2, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies.

16 Oct 18, 10.00 hrs., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, presided over and gave a welcome address to the group of lecture and student representatives from University of Forestry and Environmental Science, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the delegation of Wildlife Conservation Society: WCS, Thailand and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the occasion of their visit for the experience exchange in forestry education to be applied for the curriculum development in University of Forestry and Environmental Science. The visit was supervised and primarily cooperated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thamarat Phutthai, Director of Bachelor of Science Program in Environmental Science (International Program) and the welcome ceremony was held at Satra Methee Dr. Pongpit Piyapong Conference Room, Badhanatala Environment Building.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, together with Program Directors, Faculty and Foreign Experts, received Dr. David Finegold, President, and Mr. Chris Musick, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs, Chatham University, USA, on the occasion of their visit to the faculty and discussion on the possibility of developing academic collaborations between Mahidol University Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and Chatham University. The meeting was held at Satra Methee Dr. Pongpit Piyapong Conference Room, Badhanatala Environment Building.

17 Sep 18 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jongdee To-im, Faculty Member and Advisor for Student Affairs, Mahidol University, welcomed a visit and met with the delegation of Urban Youth Academy (UYA) and Asia Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE), led by Mr. Hyoungmin Kim on the occasion of their visit at Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and Mahidol University Salaya, at Meeting Room 1203.

15 Aug 18, 8.00 hrs., at OSM Room 1, 2nd Floor, Office of President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattanawat Chaiyarat,

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs and Lecturers from Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, accompanied the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global Challenge Program Working team, led by Assoc. Prof. Rongzhen Huang, Head of Water Pollution Control and Management Team and Dr. Xu Tian, Head of Environmental Management Research Team to a meeting with Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, on the occasion of their visit at the university and for the discussion about the progress on the development of Double Degree Program and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global Challenge Program, a project collaboration between Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, and Shaghai Jiao Tong University, in support of the "One Belt and One Road Policy", implemented by the People’s Republic of China, with an objective to develop a research project relating to environment-friendly industrial management. The program is scheduled to take place from 10-16 August, 2018 at Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.

11 Aug 18, 11 am, Lect. Dr. Noppol Arunrat, together with the working team, took the group of academic staff and postgraduate students from School of Environmental Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University of the People's Republic of China to Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao in Chainat for the collection of water sample from the Thachin River, which is part of a project collaboration between Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, and Shaghai Jiao Tong University, the People's Republic of Chian, taking place from 11-16 August, 2018.

7 Aug 18, at 10.00 am, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, presided over and gave a welcome speech to the student delegation from Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Tsinghua University, the People's Republic of China, on the occasion of their visit, which is the first step towards the possible development of an international collaboration agreement between the faculty and the institute. The event, also featuring the showcase of research and training centers and the presentations of research work, given by the representatives of the both institutions, was organized at Professor Emeritus Pongpit Piyapong Conference Room, Budhanatala Environmental Building, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.

2 Aug 18, 13.30 hrs., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, received and met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. He Man, a visiting professor from School of Journalism and Communication, Hebei University, The People's Republic of China, who came to work at Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, under the Scholarship for Visiting Professors or Scholars to work at Mahidol University 2018, from 1-30 Aug 18. The visit was chiefly coordinated by Lect. Dr. Sukanya Sereenonchai.

27 Jul 18 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanad Bhaktikul, Dean, assigned by the President of Mahidol University to preside over the closing ceremony of the international training course on the topic entitled "Adapting to Climate Change: Facing the Consequence", and presented the certificates to the participants at Professor (Special) Lek Moncharoen Conference Room, 2nd floor, Budhanatala Environmental Building. The training, which was held at the Faculty of the Environment and Resource Studies from 9-27 July, 2018, is attended by 18 participants representing environmental public sector organizations and government departments from Cambodia, Columbia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Laos, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and Vietnam, and organized with support from Thailand International Cooperation Development Agency or TICA and under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nathsuda Pumijumnong, Director of Doctor of Philosophy Program in Environment and Resource Studies (International Program), as a Training Program Director.
